AI Ranked
News, research and free tools on AI search (GEO and AEO)
AI Ranked is a publication on AI search for marketing and SEO teams. It covers how ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews choose which sources to cite, and publishes sourced guides, a glossary, and original research with open data, including a robots.txt study of 261 major sites checked against 14 AI crawlers.
It also ships free, no-signup browser tools: a citability grader, a robots.txt AI crawler checker, an llms.txt generator and a JSON-LD schema generator. Nothing you paste into them leaves your browser.
We built it because most advice on AI visibility is unsourced. AI Ranked publishes the method and the CSV with every study so readers can check the numbers themselves.
