Each session creates a roll. Over time, your rolls form a clean archive that reflects your work and gear history. You can view, search and filter them to find what you need. When it's time to move your data elsewhere, export your rolls as .gpx files or .frames files. The .frames format is a lightweight JSON export that preserves all the data and can be re-imported or used in your own workflows.
On the Mac, Frames gives you a broader view of your archive. It is especially useful after scanning, when you want to bring your notes back into your images.
